On The Road

A book from my teenage years, which I think influenced me so deeply that actually I embraced travelling as my purpose in life.

The book is dedicated to the travelling in USA, but it inspired me for travel not in this particular part of the world, but for travell as philosophy and a way of life.

If you have not read a single travel book up to now this should be definitely your first one!

And by the way – don’t watch the last movie they made based on the book – it sucks big time!

Here is the description from Amazon:

“Inspired by Jack Kerouac’s adventures with Neal Cassady, On the Road tells the story of two friends whose cross-country road trips are a quest for meaning and true experience.

Written with a mixture of sad-eyed naiveté and wild ambition and imbued with Kerouac’s love of America, his compassion for humanity, and his sense of language as jazz, On the Road is the quintessential American vision of freedom and hope, a book that changed American literature and changed anyone who has ever picked it up.”
